CZT is short for “Certified Zentangle Teacher“. If you see someone with CZT written next to them on the web or social media, it means they have been certified by the founders or the institutions they have allowed (there’s one in Europe and one in Asia) to teach the Zentangle method. As far as I know, there isn’t anyone in Turkey with this certificate. Who knows, maybe because it’s not that popular here yet, or maybe there isn’t a chance to get the training in Turkish.

If you ask me whether I have this certificate or not, no, I don’t. Neither the founders, nor the institutions they allowed to give it told me “Go ahead, we allow you to teach this method”. I doubt they even know of my existence. On the other hand, nobody gave me a certificate to be an editor, either. I proved myself with my work, and for two years I corrected the mistakes of native English speakers and helped them express themselves better, even though English isn’t my native tongue. I don’t have a photography certificate either, or an author certificate, or an animation certificate. Still, I have done all these things in my past jobs (and some, I still do). You know what they say, actions speak louder than words.

I trust myself enough to teach this art form to those who are interested. I don’t only draw, but I research about it, read about it, learn new aspects of it every day. I see the benefits of drawing them not only in myself, but in those around me. Because of this, I want to share it with others, so they can experience this beauty as well, just like I do with mandalas.
